The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the use of blue light on feed consumption, body weight, and feed conversion of broiler chickens. The materials used in this study were 2,700 broiler chickens, an open system chicken coop with double deck construction, 5 watt Light Emitting diode (LED) lamps with a light intensity of 3 Lux, cage equipment, vitamins and disinfectants. Method was used in this experiment was Completely Randomize Design with 3 treatment and 3 replication, if there were significant influence would tested by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test Method. Treatment in this experiment used white light (B0), 12 hour blue light (B1) and 24 hour blue light (B2). The results showed that the level of feed consumption in normal lighting on average was 3239.67 g, while in blue lighting for 12 hours and for 24 hours it was 3252.67 g and 3395.67 g, for the average body weight gain was 2007.6 g under normal lighting and in blue lighting for 12 hours and for 24 hours, namely 2109.67 g and 2231.2 g. The FCR value in normal lighting shows an average of 1.614 and for blue lighting for 12 hours and for 24 hours, it is 1.542 and 1.522. The conclusion of this study is that 24 hours of blue light can increase feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion, so that the efficiency of feed use will be fulfilled.
